ASI injured as chunks of ceiling falls on him at Maripeda police station in Mahabubabad

Mahabubabad: An Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI) was injured as a large portion of ceiling plaster fell on him at Maripeda police station in Mahabubabad.

In the incident that took place on Monday night, the ASI Srinivas, who was working in the station, suffered a minor injury to one of his shoulders. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment, informed the SI, G Sathish.

Computers, furniture and a ceiling fan in the station building, which was in a dilapidated condition, were also partially damaged. According to officials, a new building has already been built and efforts were on to shift Maripeda police station to the new building.
