A 39-year-old mechanic was crushed to death at Jeedimetla bus depot in Hyderabad when an RTC bus driver allegedly moved the vehicle while the victim was repairing its brakes. Police have registered a case.

Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a 39-year-old mechanic was crushed to death by an RTC bus allegedly while carrying out brake repairs at the Jeedimetla bus depot on Monday.
The victim was identified as Santosh, a resident of Medchal.
According to police, the bus had developed brake problems and Santosh went underneath the vehicle to repair the brakes. At the time, the driver who failed to notice, allegedly moved the bus without ensuring that the mechanic was clear of the vehicle, resulting in Santosh coming under the wheels.
Santosh suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot. Jeedimetla police registered a case and are investigating.
