College student killed, another seriously injured in Secunderabad road accident

A college student was killed and another seriously injured after their motorcycle crashed into a transformer pole in Tirumalagiri, Secunderabad. Police said the rider lost control while allegedly attempting to overtake another two-wheeler. A case has been registered

Hyderabad: A student was killed and another sustained serious injuries in a road accident at Tirumalagiri near Secunderabad on Thursday. According to preliminary information, the two college students were travelling on a motorcycle on the road connecting Lal Bazaar and Dairy Farm.

“When the rider allegedly attempted to overtake another two-wheeler. In the process, the motorcycle went out of control and crashed into a transformer pole on the roadside. One of the students died on the spot, while the other suffered grievous injuries. He was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment,” said the police. The Tirumalagiri police reached the spot, shifted the body for postmortem examination, and registered a case.
