People have filled the streets in various cities across Pakistan to mark Arbaeen. That’s the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hossein in the Battle of Karbala. This year’s commemorations carried added significance, with many participants expressing solidarity with the people of Iran following the recent US-Israeli aggression against their country.
They said the message of Karbala remains as relevant as ever in confronting injustice and oppression.
