Medak police booked a Hyderabad man, Bukka Santosh, after he posed as an Interpol officer and presented suspicious ID cards to the district Collector. The IDs were found to be fake following an inquiry.

Medak: A man, who was carrying identity cards of intelligence and interpol, was booked by Medak police.
The man, Bukka Santosh, of Kothapet in Hyderabad, along with his friend Srinath visited Medak Collectorate on Monday to present a representation to Collector Prathima Singh during grievances on a land dispute.
Claiming himself as an Interpol officer, Santosh showed his two ID cards to the Collector. Suspecting them as fake, she asked the Medak DSP, Prasanna Kumar, and other officials to probe into it. After a thorough inquiry until midnight on Monday, the police registered a case against Santosh. Further investigation is underway.
