Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has held separate telephone conversations with his counterparts from Pakistan and Oman, reviewing the latest regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts to strengthen peace and stability in the region.
Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Monday night spoke by phone with Araghchi.
The two foreign ministers examined current regional events and the trajectory of diplomatic efforts, underscoring the need for continued close cooperation and consultations between Tehran and Islamabad to achieve lasting peace and security across the region.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry later issued a statement on the call, confirming that Foreign Minister Dar invited his Iranian counterpart to visit Pakistan at the earliest possible opportunity.
In a separate conversation the same afternoon, Araghchi also spoke with Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi. The Iranian and Omani top diplomats exchanged views on the latest regional developments.
On Sunday night, Araghchi held a series of high-level telephone conversations with his Saudi counterpart and Pakistan’s army chief as part of ongoing regional consultations aimed at preserving security and stability in West Asia.
Araghchi engaged in discussions, marking his second round of calls within 24 hours, with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir.
The talks reviewed the latest diplomatic efforts and initiatives to maintain and strengthen regional security and stability. The parties emphasized the necessity of leveraging regional cooperation capacities and political solutions.
According to a statement posted on X by the Saudi Foreign Ministry, the Saudi and Iranian ministers discussed the current situation, with Al Saud emphasising Riyadh’s “eagerness to continue the regional rounds in establishing security and stability, in order to achieve the common interests of all the countries and peoples of the region.”
The United States has perpetrated numerous violations against Iranian territory since April 7, when US President Donald Trump announced a unilateral ceasefire in the latest bout of unprovoked American-Israeli aggression targeting the Islamic Republic that began on February 28.
These violations continued even after Washington and Tehran signed a Pakistan-mediated memorandum of understanding in June, whose first clause clearly mandated cessation of aggression on all fronts.
The US has also sought to help vessels evade the maritime route designated by the Islamic Republic for safe and legal passage through the Strait of Hormuz by attempting to escort trespassing vessels through an illegal passageway.
Iran’s Armed Forces have staged uncompromising retaliation in the face of each instance of violation, including those supporting illegal vessel movement in the strategic waterway.
Iran remains fully committed to defending its rights and sovereignty while prioritizing diplomatic and regional solutions to counter external aggression and ensure lasting stability in West Asia.
