BJP MP Nishikant Dubey praised Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy as a “good man” with roots in the Sangh Parivar and ABVP, while alleging that Congress leadership, particularly Rahul Gandhi, restricts his independence.

Hyderabad: In remarks likely to reinforce the BRS’ allegation of a tacit understanding between the BJP and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey described the Telangana Chief Minister as a “good man” and credited him with contributing significantly to the expansion of the Sangh Parivar.
Speaking to mediapersons on Parliament premises, Dubey said Revanth Reddy was an old friend and had played an active role in activities associated with the Sangh Parivar and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
“Telangana’s Chief Minister is a good man. He has contributed immensely to the expansion of the Sangh Parivar and the Vidyarthi Parishad,” Dubey said in a video that has since gone viral on social media.
Recalling his 770-km padyatra organised under the banner of the Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Dubey said Revanth Reddy had actively participated in the march.
“Since he comes from the Vidyarthi Parishad, his mindset is sound,” he said.
At the same time, Dubey alleged that Revanth Reddy was constrained by the Congress leadership and often echoed the views of Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
“He is distressed and speaks according to Rahul Gandhi’s instructions. He says exactly what Rahul Gandhi tells him to say. Revanth Reddy is not at fault,” Dubey said.
