Hyderabad: The BRS Parliamentary Party will be chaired by party president K Chandrashekhar Rao in his Yerravelli residence at 12.30 pm on Friday. The meeting will be attended by BRS members of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, along with party working president KT Rama Rao, and former minister T Harish Rao.
The primary focus of the meeting will be on discussing and deciding the party’s strategy for the upcoming budget session in the Parliament, scheduled to commence from January 31. With Chandrashekhar Rao leading the discussions, the party aims to formulate an effective strategy to address key matters pertaining to Telangana during the budget sessions.
The BRS, which successfully concluded its Parliamentary constituency-wise preparatory meetings for Lok Sabha elections recently, will be conducting the Assembly constituency-wise meetings at the party headquarters in Telangana Bhavan commencing from Saturday. With at least five to six segments covered every day, the meetings will be concluded before February 10. Besides discussing the party performance in the recent Assembly elections and ground-level situation, the party leadership plans to deliberate on the strategies needed for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
“The Parliamentary constituency-wise reports are being submitted to the party chief K Chandrashekhar Rao along with the opinions elicited by the party leaders and their phone numbers. He is personally interacting with some of them over telephone. He is recuperating from the surgery and is expected to start visiting the party headquarters from February 17 which happens to be his birthday,” Rama Rao told mediapersons.
