Gholamhossein Darzi made the remarks in a session of the UN Security Council (UNSC) on Tuesday, emphasizing that the continued US actions threaten the security of the Strait of Hormuz.
Regarding the situation in the Middle East, he stated, “Despite the announced ceasefire, Gaza remains devastated and is under siege. The Israeli regime’s occupation continues to violate the ceasefire through continuous military attacks and severe restrictions on humanitarian access.”
At the same time, the Israeli regime continues to expand its illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank which is a gross and clear violation of the international law and the UN Charter.
Israel’s repeated acts of aggression against Lebanon and continued violations of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity increasingly threaten regional peace and security, and the continuation of Israeli regime’s illegal actions pose a serious threat to the international peace and security, he underlined.
