Hyderabad: The Saroornagar police have arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly roaming with a country made pistol and creating panic among residents in Bhagath Singh Nagar on Sunday night.
The suspect, identified as Mohd Imran, was caught during a police operation.
Officers seized a country made pistol and one live round from him.
Police said Imran was allegedly moving around the locality with the firearm, causing fear among the residents.
A case has been registered and further investigation is on to ascertain the source of the weapon and whether it was used in any criminal activity.
