The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Standing Committee has approved a proposal to engage ASCI for technical support in solid waste management and Swachh Survekshan-2027 preparedness, alongside several civic infrastructure projects including compost units, biodiversity centres, road development, and Indiramma Canteens.

Hyderabad: A proposal to engage Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) for technical assistance towards implementation of Solid Waste Management Rules, Swachh Survekshan-2027 preparedness, bulk waste generator compliance and other subjects was approved at a Standing Committee meeting of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Friday.
The other key proposals that were approved by the Standing Committee include the development of an athletic track at PJR Stadium at Chandanagar, a Cyberabad Urban Biodiversity Centre for Awareness, Rescue & Rehabilitation (CUB-CARE) at Ashoka Vanam Park, Serilingampally and procurement of conservancy articles through State and Central Government organisations for the three zones of CMC.
The Standing Committee also deliberated and gave a nod to the establishment of compost units and establishment of Secondary Collection Transfer Points (SCTPs) and Transfer Station-cum-Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) at strategic locations across the CMC.
Among other subjects, the meeting also discussed procurement of mechanised road sweeping vehicles, development of a knowledge centre and associated infrastructure works at the CMC headquarters, and procurement of digital standee pods, construction of aspirational toilets at identified locations, Indiramma Canteens at 32 locations, road development plans from NH-65 Foot Over Bridge to PNR Hill View via PJR Enclave, and from Miyapur Lotus Hospitals to Ameenpur Village MG Statue via Janapriya West City Road and HMT Swarnapuri Colony Main Road.
