A 27-year-old software engineer allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the 10th floor of an apartment complex in Puppalaguda on Thursday. Police said preliminary inquiries indicate he had been suffering from depression. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.

Hyderabad: A 27-year-old software engineer allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the 10th floor of an apartment complex at Puppalaguda in Narsingi on Thursday.
The victim was identified as M Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, who was residing with his parents and brother at ASBL Spectra Apartments.
According to police, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy returned home from work in the evening and went into his room. He did not come out for dinner either. However, later, his brother noticed his mobile phone lying on the balcony and, on looking down, found him lying motionless on the ground.
On receiving information, the Narsingi police reached the spot and took up investigation.
Preliminary inquiries suggest that he had been suffering from depression for some time.
Based on a complaint lodged by his brother, the Narsingi police registered a case and are investigating.
