Veteran swimmer Kadiyala Kumaraswamy (66) clinched gold in 25m butterfly, silver in 25m backstroke, and bronze in 25m freestyle at the Hyderabad District Masters Swimming Championship at Ameerpet GHMC Pool on Monday

Hyderabad: Kadiyala Kumaraswamy put up an impressive show winning a gold, silver and a bronze in the Hyderabad district Masters swimming championship at GHMC Swimming Pool here (Ameerpet) here.

The 66-year-old resident of Vijayanagar Colony bagged gold in the 25m butterfly, silver in the 25m backstroke and a bronze in the 25 m freestyle events.


For the record, Kumaraswamy, who retired in the State Financial Corporation and started competing since 2006, was also a gold medallist in the 2024 Masters Nationals in the 200m individual medley event and has been winning gold in the 100m backstroke event for the last four years.
