Three students of a social welfare residential school in Chennur, Mancherial district, who left the campus after feeling homesick, returned safely by evening. Officials said measures have been taken to prevent students from leaving the school without permission

Three homesick students leave school, returns by evening in Mancherial

Mancherial: Three students from a social welfare residential school went missing in Chennur on Monday. They, however, returned to the institution, bringing relief to the officials.

District Coordinating Officer Rama Kalyani said the students had left the school in the morning as they were homesick, but returned to the institution by evening. She stated that steps had been taken to ensure that students do not leave the school without permission from teachers.


Recently, 17 students from a Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Residential School left the institution and visited Mancherial MLA K Premsagar Rao’s residence to highlight the challenges they were facing. A Class IX student, who went missing from a Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Residential School in Chennur on Thursday, was traced on July 3.
