Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police (HTP) has intensified a special enforcement drive against vehicles using fake, tampered or unauthorised registration number plates.
Over the past week, police registered five criminal cases across Jubilee Hills, Malakpet, Begum Bazaar, Abid Road, and Kacheguda and seized several vehicles.
Traffic police warned that only government-approved High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) are legally valid.
Any altered, incomplete, or unauthorised number plates will invite criminal cases, they said.
