Hyderabad: Vaishali Nagar railway underpass to remain closed for 20 days from July 16

The Vaishali Nagar Railway Underpass will remain closed for 20 days from July 16 for road widening and storm water drain works. Cyberabad Traffic Police have announced diversion routes and advised commuters to plan their travel in advance.

Hyderabad: Vaishali Nagar railway underpass to remain closed for 20 days from July 16

Hyderabad: Motorists travelling through the Vaishali Nagar Railway Underpass will have to take alternative routes for the next 20 days as the underpass will remain completely closed from July 16 for road widening and storm water drain construction works.

In a traffic advisory issued on Wednesday, Cyberabad Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sunpreet Singh said the closure was necessary to facilitate civic works aimed at permanently addressing traffic congestion and waterlogging at the underpass.


Accordingly, vehicles travelling from My Home Mangala towards Hafeezpet via the underpass will be diverted through Raghavendra Nagar Colony, High Tension Road, the RTA Office and Kondapur before reaching the Hafeezpet ROB.

Similarly, motorists approaching the underpass from the Telangana Contractors Cultural Club side will also be rerouted through My Home Mangala T-Junction, Raghavendra Nagar Colony, High Tension Road, Kondapur and the Hafeezpet ROB.

Also, vehicles travelling from Hafeezpet, RTC Colony and My Home Jewel towards My Home Mangala will be diverted via Pipeline Road, the Hafeezpet ROB, Genpact junction and Kondapur-Alwyn Road.
Similar diversions have been arranged for traffic from Vasavi Lake City, Hafeezpet Lake and Gopal Nagar-Calvary Temple areas.

Cyberabad Traffic Police have advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance.
