Future City Police have launched an extensive manhunt for Raj Kumar, the prime suspect in the Shabad sextuple murder case. Seven special teams are searching across four states, while the Shabad Sub-Inspector has been suspended for alleged dereliction of duty.

Hyderabad: The Future City Police continued their hunt for Raj Kumar, the prime suspect in the killing of six persons, including his wife, two sons, a minor girl who had filed a POCSO case against him, the girl’s mother, and her grandmother, at Shabad in Ranga Reddy district on Friday night.
Seven special teams have been formed to trace the suspect. Police recovered his abandoned car near Kothur in Ranga Reddy district on Saturday morning.
Preliminary investigation indicated that he proceeded on foot towards the nearby railway station after abandoning the vehicle.
Police teams have since conducted searches at several locations across four States in an effort to apprehend him.
Meanwhile, the authorities placed the Shabad Sub-Inspector under suspension for alleged dereliction of duty in connection with the case.
The incident triggered protests in Shabad, with villagers and relatives of the victims demanding stringent action against the officials concerned and swift arrest of the suspect.
Sources indicated that the police had taken Raj Kumar into custody. However, there was no official confirmation.
