KTR lauds Hyderabad entrepreneur Aarav Garg’s AI startup success

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao congratulated Hyderabad entrepreneur Aarav Garg on his journey from a teenage innovator to the co-founder of a globally recognised AI startup, describing it as an inspiring example of young Indians building world-class technology products.

Recalling his first meeting with Aarav in 2022, Rama Rao said the then 16-year-old had showcased a technology product and shared his vision of empowering youth through innovation. Four years later, Aarav co-founded Omi, an AI wearable startup developing devices designed to function as a user’s second brain.


The startup has secured around $3 million in funding from investors, including Tim Draper and Dropbox Ventures, and has sold over 25,000 AI wearable devices globally. Its products have also been featured in leading international publications, including The Wall Street Journal and Forbes.

Sharing photographs of their latest interaction in a post on X on Friday, the former IT Minister congratulated Aarav and the Omi team. He said it was encouraging to see Hyderabad-based entrepreneurs building globally competitive products and wished them continued success in advancing AI innovation.
