Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says millions of Iranians gathered in unity to pay tribute to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and his legacy, stressing that neither the Iranian people nor the armed forces will be moved by threats
After attending the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader in Qom on Tuesday, Araghchi wrote in a post on his X account that millions of proud Iranians gathered in unity to pay tribute to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and his enduring legacy.
“Neither them nor our Brave Armed Forces are moved by any threats,” he said.
On Tuesday morning, millions of mourners gathered at the Holy Jamkaran Mosque in Qom to offer funeral prayers for the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, and members of his family.
The multi-day funeral began on Friday with Ayatollah Khamenei’s body lying in state at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla and foreign dignitaries and religious figures paying their respects. It continued on Saturday and Sunday with a public farewell and prayers, respectively.
On Monday, large crowds packed the streets of Tehran as the funeral convoy made its way through the Iranian capital.
Araghchi also shared photographs from the funeral ceremony alongside his message.
Millions of proud Iranians rallied in unity to honor Grand Ayatollah Khamenei and his legacy. Neither them nor our Brave Armed Forces are moved by any threats.

The foreign minister referred to ongoing diplomatic issues, writing, “Para 13 of the MoU is clear: Negotiations on final Deal will not commence if threats continue. Honor your signature.”
The comment came a day after US President Donald Trump once again threatened Iran with military strikes if negotiations between the two countries fail to reach a final agreement.
The Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, signed on June 18, 2026, brought an end to the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, which had begun on February 28.
The 14-point agreement, brokered by Pakistan, committed both sides to an immediate and permanent cessation of military actions on all fronts, including Lebanon, and provided for the lifting of the US naval blockade, the release of frozen Iranian assets, and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
