Hyderabad: Minor fire breaks out at Criminal Court building in Nampally

Hyderabad: A minor fire broke out on the third floor of the Criminal Court building at Nampally on Sunday early hours, triggering a brief scare.

However, no injuries were reported but property was damaged.


According to preliminary information, the blaze is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit in the property room. Two fire engines rushed to the spot after receiving the alert, and firefighters brought the flames under control before they could spread further.

“No injuries or casualties have been reported in the incident. The extent of damage to court property is yet to be assessed,” said an official from Nampally police station.

Authorities are expected to conduct a detailed inspection to determine the exact cause of the fire and assess the losses.
