New Delhi: The Central Industrial Security Force has deployed around two dozen women commandos for quick action duties at some selected Delhi Metro stations that witness a high footfall of female commuters, a senior officer said on Saturday.

According to the CISF, The personnel have undergone specialised tactical and weapons training to enhance operational preparedness. They are now deployed on operational duty, equipped to respond to security contingencies at their assigned stations.
The force provides a counter-terrorist cover to more than 270 stations of Delhi Metro that ferries lakhs of passengers every day in the capital and NCR. “The induction reflects the force’s continuing focus on building a gender-inclusive and operationally agile security structure for one of the country’s busiest urban transit systems,” the officer said.
