A 20-year-old BTech student of IIIT Hyderabad died by suicide on the institute’s Gachibowli campus after an apparent fall from a building. Police have registered a case, ruled out foul play at this stage and launched an investigation into the incident.

Hyderabad: A 20-year-old B Tech student died by suicide at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Gachibowli, on Saturday, police said.
The student was identified as Abhiroop, a native of Khammam district, who was pursuing a B Tech in Computer Science at IIIT Hyderabad.
According to the police, the incident occurred on the IIIT Hyderabad campus when the student was found with fatal injuries after an apparent fall from a campus building. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but the doctors pronounced him dead.
A case has been registered, and the body has been shifted for post-mortem examination. The police said no foul play is suspected at this stage, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident.
