A 26-year-old newly married man drowned in an irrigation tank at Lingiguda village in Tiryani mandal while fishing with friends. Expert divers recovered the body and police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.

Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) appointed a special coordination and monitoring committee to oversee the party’s participation in the ongoing Special Summary Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across Telangana. Announcing the decision, BRS working president KT Rama Rao said the committee will coordinate the activities of Booth Level Agents (BLAs), facilitate communication between BLAs and the party headquarters, address field-level issues, and liaise with the Election Commission of India to ensure smooth implementation of the exercise.
The committee comprises MLCs L Ramana and Dasoju Sravan, former MLC Karne Prabhakar, BRS general secretary Soma Bharat Kumar, former chairpersons Manne Krishank and Y Satish Reddy, and party leaders Mujeebuddin, Sumitra Anand and Abhilash Rao Rangineni. The panel would play a key role in effectively coordinating the party’s SIR-related activities across the State.
