BRS leader Sohail seeks judicial probe into Raidurg Waqf land auction

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) senior leader Shaik Abdullah Sohail on Friday demanded a judicial inquiry into the auction of Waqf land at Raidurg belonging to Jamia Nizamia and called for an immediate halt to any final transfer, registration, or further alienation of the property until its Waqf status is independently verified.

Addressing the media, Sohail alleged that the auction of the land had raised serious concerns regarding the protection of Waqf properties and urged the State government to ensure complete transparency in the matter.

He demanded that all Waqf and revenue records relating to the property be preserved to facilitate an impartial investigation and prevent any tampering with official documents.

Sohail further called upon the government to suspend all proceedings related to the land transaction until a judicial inquiry establishes the legal status of the property. He said any irreversible action before the completion of such an inquiry could adversely affect the interests of the Waqf institution.

The BRS leader urged the authorities to safeguard Waqf properties across Telangana and take appropriate legal measures to prevent any alleged encroachment or unauthorized transfer of such lands.
