Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Saturday carried out a large-scale anti-encroachment drive across multiple zones, targeting unauthorised stalls and structures on public footpaths.

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Saturday carried out a drive against encroachments of footpaths across various zones to restore public footpaths, improve pedestrian safety and ensure obstruction-free movement.

The drive focused on removing unauthorised encroachments such as food stalls, street vendors, temporary structures and other obstructions occupying public footpaths.


In Serilingampally Zone, the drive covered Gandipet X Road to Sai Baba Temple, Patancheru, BHEL Circle to Ramachandrapuram, Nagulamma Temple, Manjeera Pipeline Road and Telecom Nagar Road. In Kukatpally Zone, the drive covered HUDA Techno Enclave Road, Mithra Hills Road, and KPHB Road No. 1.

In Quthbullapur Zone, the drive covered Narsapur Road, Suchitra Road, Om Janda Circle to Rajiv Gruha Kalpa, Devender Nagar Road, Nizampet Road, Mallampet Road, and Medchal Circle on Medchal Railway Station Road.

Overall, the CMC covered 15 road stretches, clearing 30.29 km of footpaths and removing 506 encroachments, according to a press release.
