Dy.CM Bhatti desecrated Pragathi Bhavan by turning it into commission collection centre: MLC Madhusudhan

Khammam: Pragathi Bhavan, which once served as a place for discussions on Telangana’s development and welfare measures, has been transformed into a hub for extracting commissions from every work and bill, alleged BRS MLC Tata Madhusudhan.

Former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao used Pragathi Bhavan as his official residence and workplace, and as a centre for public welfare. However, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, who now resides in the same place, has desecrated it and turned it into a commission collection centre, he said.

Madhusudhan recalled how Vikramarka had previously made caustic remarks against Chandrashekhar Rao for constructing Pragathi Bhavan, mocking him with accusations of having ‘golden bathrooms’ and labelling him a ‘feudal lord (Dora) living in a mansion.’

He questioned with what face Vikramarka was now residing in that very same glass mansion and demanded that, if Vikramarka had any sense of shame, he should vacate the building immediately.

Madhusudhan, along with party leaders MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, Nama Nageswara Rao, Puvvada Ajay Kumar, party district in-charge MLC Takkallapalli Ravinder Rao and former ZP chairman L Kamal Raju, addressed party workers at Madhira in the district on Monday.

He noted a shift in public sentiment against the Congress government in the State and urged the party cadre to strengthen the organisational structure at the village level to channel the growing public dissatisfaction in the Madhira constituency in support of the BRS.

The party leaders made it clear that there was no longer any room for politics that prioritised individuals over the party. The leaders stated that party workers who had been toiling for the party without holding any official positions or power, and who stood by the party despite it not being in power for the past two and a half years, were the true strength of the BRS.

The leaders instructed party workers that losing even a single vote in an election is tantamount to political death, whereas safeguarding every vote signifies survival. The cadre were told to mobilise and raise awareness about the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls among voters, starting from the polling booth level. A similar meeting was held in Wyra.
