Hyderabad: Simhadri Vizag Lions scored a 59-run win against Royals of Rayalaseema in the Andhra Premier League T-20 cricket championship match at Dr YSR Stadium in Kadapa.
Batting first, Vizag Lions scored 217 for six in 20 overs with K.H. Veera Reddy 50, 22b, 4×4, 4×6), N. HImakar (41, 25b, 4×4, 2×6) and K. Maheep Kumar (33, 19b, 4×4, 1×6) being themain scorers.
In reply, Royals was bowled out for 158 in 19 overs despite fine knocks by S. Dhruva Kumar Reddy (52, 31b, 3×4, 4×6) and GSP Teja (62, 47b, 7×4, 1×6) even as the others found the bowling of B. Vinay Kumar (three for 33) too good to handle.
Veera Reddy was named ‘player of the match’.
