The Malkajgiri police arrested three Odisha natives and seized 51 kilograms of ganja along with a car at Abdullapurmet. The accused were allegedly transporting the contraband to Ghatkesar on the instructions of an absconding suspect identified as Sagar.

HYDERABAD: The Malkajgiri police on Thursday arrested three persons who were allegedly transporting ganja and seized 51 kilograms of the contraband from them at Abdullapurmet. A car used for transporting the ganja was seized too.
The arrested are Kamulu Pangi (37), Bibini Hantal (31) and Krishna Hantal (29), all natives of Odisha.
According to the police, the trio had met one person, Sagar, in a jail in Malkangiri, Odisha and on his instructions brought the ganja to hand over to him at Ghatkesar.
“The trio was caught while they were transporting ganja in a car to hand over to Sagar. The property was seized, and case registered,” said Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri, B Sumathi.
Efforts are on to nab Sagar, who is absconding.
