Vehicular traffic was disrupted for nearly three hours in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district after strong winds and heavy rains uprooted trees on the Sirpur–Koutala road.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Vehicular movement came to a grinding halt on a road after strong gales coupled with heavy downpours uprootingtrees along the road connecting Sirpur (T) and Koutala mandals on Saturday.

Locals said that motorists were stranded for nearly three hours as the fallen trees blocked the stretch causing inconvenience to commuters including those with medical emergencies. The motorists expressed concern over the delay in reaching their destinations. They urged officials to address the challenge. On receiving information, local police rushed to the spot and cleared the trees, restoring the traffic flow and bringing respite to the motorists.
