Jagtial: Unable to tolerate alleged harassment by a stalker, a 20 year-old woman Saidu Srilatha died by suicide in Anantharam of Jagtial rural mandal. She committed suicide by hanging herself in the home on Monday.
According to police, both Srilatha and Ankathi Raju from Sangampalli of the same mandal studied up to Class X in a school. While Srilatha is staying at home after completion of graduation, Raju is pursuing engineering third year.
Raju was allegedly harassing Srilatha in the name of love during the last three years. Unable to tolerate harassment, she already made a suicide attempt some time ago. Family members and village elders warned Raju.
Raju, who stayed away from her for some time, again started it recently. On Monday, he threatened the victim over the phone. Upset over the incident, she took an extreme step.
