Man, his son drown in Taliperu river in Kothagudem

A 38-year-old man and his six-year-old son drowned in the Taliperu river at Dandupet in Cherla mandal of Kothagudem district. The bodies were recovered with the help of villagers, and police have registered a case and launched an investigation

Man, his son drowns in Taliperu in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: A man and his minor son drowned in the Taliperu river in Cherla mandal of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased, Ramula Surya Rao (38) and his six-year-old son, Dev Harsha Bhargav, had gone fishing in the river at Dandupet in the mandal. According to locals, the duo ventured deeper into the river while fishing and drowned.


The bodies were retrieved by family members with the help of villagers. Local SI Narsi Reddy visited the spot, registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
