Medak: Protesting against the delay in paddy procurement, former chairman of the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society, Toopran, and Congress leader Mettu Balakrishna Reddy resigned from the primary membership of the party on Monday.
Reddy, along with his followers, was reportedly preparing to join the BRS shortly. Balakrishna Reddy said the Congress government had done a great injustice to the farming community by denying loan waiver, Rythu Bharosa and delaying paddy procurement.
