A 41-year-old mechanic from Alwal died after allegedly suffering electrocution while repairing a lift at an apartment building in Chaderghat on Saturday night. Residents found him inside the lift, and police have registered a case and begun an investigation.

Hyderabad: A mechanic died due to electrocution at an apartment at Chaderghat in the city on Saturday night.
The victim, JB Sushil Kumar Jhade (41), a resident of Alwal, came to an apartment building to repair a lift in the evening. Late in the night, some occupants of the apartment building noticed Sushil lying dead in the lift.
On information, the police reached the spot and, after preliminary inquiries, shifted the body for postmortem to Osmania General Hospital. The police suspect that Sushil had been electrocuted while repairing the lift and died.
A case is registered.
