Engineering student killed after tipper lorry hits scooter at Tolichowki

A 21-year-old engineering student from Shadnagar died after a tipper lorry hit the scooter he was travelling on at Tolichowki on Saturday night. The victim succumbed to injuries during treatment, while police registered a case and launched an investigation.

Engineering student killed after tipper lorry hits scooter at Tolichowki

Hyderabad: An engineering student died in a road accident at Tolichowki Road in the city on Saturday night.

The victim, Bendi Srujan Reddy (21), a resident of Shadnagar, Ranga Reddy district, was pursuing engineering from a college at Ibrahimpatnam and stayed along with his friends at a hostel at BN Reddy Nagar on Nagarjunasagar Highway.


On Saturday around 10 pm, Srujan Reddy along with five others started from BN Reddy Nagar to visit a popular café at Madhapur to have tea. On reaching Tolichowki, a tipper lorry hit the scooter on which Srujan was going along with a friend.

“The two persons suffered serious injuries and were shifted to a hospital. Srujan died while undergoing treatment later in the night,” said Langer Houz police. A case is registered against the driver of the tipper vehicle, and an investigation is going on.
