Thieves broke into Sri Gupta Prasanna Bhakta Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Jangaon district, cut CCTV wires, ransacked the premises and stole cash from the hundi. Devotees have urged police to arrest the culprits and strengthen temple security.

Jangaon: Thieves have broken into Sri Gupta Prasanna Bhakta Anjaneya Swamy Temple at Aswaraopally in Raghunathpally mandal in the district on Saturday night.
According to sources miscreants broke the lock of the main entrance gate of the temple; cut the CCTV camera wires, broke open the lock of the sanctum sanctorum (Garbhagudi) and entered inside.
They allegedly ransacked the temple premises and later stole cash from the temple hundi (donation box) before fleeing the scene. The miscreants attempted to damage Tulasi Kota located outside the temple.
The incident came to light on Sunday morning when the temple priest arrived to perform daily rituals and found the locks broken. He alerted the local police station and informed Bajrang Dal activists.
Devotees and villagers have expressed deep concern over the incident and urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation to identify, arrest the culprits at the earliest. They further appealed to the officials to strengthen security around places of worship to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.
