A 55-year-old MGNREGS worker died of a suspected heart attack while working at a site in Rebarthi village of Siddipet district on Thursday. Fellow workers attempted CPR before officials visited the site and provided immediate financial relief to the family.

Siddipet: A worker of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) died of a heart attack at a work site in Rebarthi village of Maddur mandal on Thursday.
The deceased, Dakuri Anil Reddy (55), attended the work along with other labourers when he complained of chest pain and collapsed at the work site. Fellow workers made a futile attempt to revive him by performing CPR.
The incident left the workers and his family in shock. APD of MGNREGS Srinivas and other officials visited the site and presented Rs.10,000 as immediate relief to Anil’s family.
