Hyderabad: A real estate company owner alleged that the police at the behest of a Congress Member of Parliament are harassing them to sell their property to another real estate group.
At a press conference here on Sunday, Nitesh Vijayvargiya and Ashok Reddy, Directors of Ananya Infra Projects Private Limited alleged they had purchased a company through the National Company Law Tribunal.
“The company has a land admeasuring around 34.5 acres located at Bacharam village in Hayathnagar mandal of Ranga Reddy district. Eyeing the land belonging to the company, false complaints are being filed against us and we are being harassed to succumb to the designs of the local MP and the company belonging to people close to him. The land costs Rs. 200 crore and we are asked to sell it for Rs 10 crore,” said Nitesh Vijayvargiya.
He said the police registered a First Information Report (FIR), and are indirectly investigating the judgement of the National Company Law Tribunal.
“If anyone has issues with the National Company Law Tribunal, they have the right to approach the higher courts. But here the police registered a case for reasons better known to them and are mentally harassing us, we are also being threatened by the police saying that the other members of our family will also be booked in the case,” said Nitesh Vijayvargiya.
The Member of Parliament, whom Nitesh Vijayvargiya was reluctant to name at this stage, was influencing the police and local revenue authorities to grab away the land.
“It’s almost two years; the authorities are not doing mutation of the property despite several reminders,” he said.
