Telangana is facing an intense heatwave, with several districts recording temperatures above 46°C. Kumuram Bheem Asifabad reported the highest at 46.5°C, while Hyderabad touched 42.7°C.

Hyderabad: Telangana continues to reel under a relentless spell of heatwave, with a large number of districts experiencing scorching conditions for more than a week.
Based on Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) temperature data, the maximum temperatures between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm on Sunday in multiple districts soared past the 46 degrees Celsius.
The TSDPS data indicated that Kunchavelli in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad witnessed a maximum temperature of 46.5 degrees Celsius in Telangana while Langar Houz area in core Hyderabad witnessed a scorching 42.7 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), including suburban and nearby districts, is also witnessing equally severe heatwave conditions. Areas in and around Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri and Rangareddy have witnessed extreme heat, as maximum temperatures ranged between 43 degrees Celsius and 45 degrees Celsius.
