Hyderabad: Want the feeling of staying in the middle of an African safari without actually flying thousands of kilometres to Kenya? Hyderabad now has a staycation designed to do just that.

Located in Mokila, Masai Mara is Hyderabad’s first-ever safari-themed experiential staycation inspired by Kenya’s iconic Masai Mara. While there are no actual safaris or wild animals here, the property recreates the ambience of an African wilderness retreat through its architecture, interiors and overall theme.

Unlike regular villa stays, the property features bedrooms designed to resemble safari trucks using extended iron structures merged with civil walls. Rustic interiors, natural furniture and earthy textures further add to the safari-style atmosphere.

“People have seen container stays, mud houses and luxury villas, but this concept is completely different. Our property is inspired by the Masai Mara in Kenya where we designed bedrooms into truck-shaped spaces with natural furniture and rustic interiors,” says Roshan Reddy.

Opened in March, the 1.5-acre property includes six bedrooms and two lounge spaces along with amenities such as a bonfire area, rain dance setup, indoor and outdoor theatres, water fountain, bar counters and a sprawling 12,000-square-foot lawn area designed for gatherings and celebrations.

The project was inspired by founder Roshan Reddy’s long-standing fascination with African culture, music and experience-driven hospitality concepts.

“I want every stay to feel memorable rather than just another luxury villa. Themes and storytelling make a place stand out and experience-based hospitality is what motivates me the most,” he says. “I have always been passionate about African culture and music, and the inspiration for this property came from the Afro music I listen to.”

Pricing at the property starts from Rs 25,000 for groups of up to 10 people, with packages available for larger groups as well.
