Steel flyover works begin near Indo-American Cancer Hospital in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The steel flyover works have taken off near the Indo-American Cancer Hospital, under the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) initiative.

As part of the works in progress, deep earth excavation began three weeks ago between the BRS office and Maharaja Agrasen Island in Banjara Hills and has now reached the area near Indo-American Cancer Hospital. The civic body has dismantled a green shed installed by the GHMC for patients and their attendants as part of the proposed steel flyover.

Several trees have been removed from two major traffic islands near Indo-American Cancer Hospital ahead of earth excavation works. As a result, the two islands now have no green shade that used to be availed by the patients and their attendants.

The GHMC is constructing seven steel flyovers and underpasses around the KBR Park under the H-CITI project, aimed at signal-free movement.
