Telangana BJP chief Ramchander Rao targets Revanth Reddy over Congress poll results

Hyderabad: In a sarcastic jibe at Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Telangana BJP chief N Ramchander Rao said the happiest person after the election results in five States was the Telangana Chief Minister. The State BJP chief recalled the Chief Minister’s controversial comments made during the Jubilee Hills bypoll last year.

“Revanth Reddy’s Congress is Muslim and Muslim is Congress stands validated. Of the 90 MLAs won by the Congress on May 4, only 12 are Hindus,” Ramchander Rao said on X. He said that the trend was especially striking in Bengal and Assam. “In Bengal, where Congress won only two seats, both are Muslim candidates, while in Assam, 18 out of its 19 winning candidates are Muslims,” he stressed.

The State BJP chief further said that Hindus make up just 13 per cent of the INC legislators elected on Tuesday. “This overwhelming rejection of the Congress reflects people’s deep resentment against the party’s anti-Hindu, anti-Sanatan and anti-India mindset,” Ramchander Rao added.
