Hyderabad: The 17-year-old Hyderabadi A. Sreemanya Reddy has qualified for the main draw of the ITF W35 tournament in Tumkur after a resilient comeback victory.

Facing fellow Indian Saily Thakkar in the qualifying rounds, Sreemanya bounced back from a difficult opening set to secure a hard-fought 0-6, 6-4, 10-4 win.


The teenager now faces a major test in the main draw, where she is set to square off against the tournament’s second seed, Zuzanna Pawlikowska, in the opening round.

 This match is expected to provide a significant opportunity for the young Steemanya to gain valuable experience against elite international competition
