A young engaged couple died by suicide in separate incidents in Bahrain and Jagtial. Sai Kumar allegedly died under financial and work pressure in Bahrain, while his fiancee Sruthi ended her life in Siripur village after learning about his death

Jagtial: In a tragic development, a woman and a man whose marriage was fixed died by suicide. While the man, identified as Makkala Sai Kumar (22), died by suicide in Bahrain, his fiancee O Sruthi (20) ended her life in Jagtial.
Reports said Sai Kumar and Sruthi fell in love and convinced their parents to agree to their marriage. However, Sai Kumar wanted the marriage to be performed only after he built a house and, to earn some money, went to Bahrain. However, unable to bear the financial burden and work pressure, he reportedly died by suicide on May 1.
Upset over his death, Sruthi too ended her life by hanging in her village, Siripur, on Saturday night. Sai hailed from Pathadampalli village in Mallapur mandal.
