Another farmer collapses and dies at the procurement centre in Nakrekal

Another farmer collapses and dies at the procurement centre in Nakrekal

Nalgonda: A farmer collapsed and died at a paddy procurement centre at Nakrekal here on Monday, leaving the family in distress and other farmers worried.

The farmer has been identified as 68-year-old Mohd Naseeruddin, a resident of Babasahabgudem in Nakrekal municipality. The farmer had brought his stocks to the procurement centre at Nellibanda and even before the exercise commenced, he suddenly collapsed on the heaps of paddy.


Locals immediately rushed him to a hospital in Nakrekal but doctors announced he was brought dead. Locals believe Naseeruddin could have suffered cardiac arrest. In the past, stents were placed in his heart, according to reports.

This is the third incident of farmers collapsing and dying at the procurement centres in two days.

Yesterday, one farmer M Gouraiah died due to sun stroke at Raipol in Rangareddy district and another farmer Neelam Venkanna died after lightening struck him at the procurement centre in Sudanapally village at Jayashankar Bhupalpally.
