The Telangana government has appointed retiring DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy as State Security Advisor for three years. He will advise on law and order, internal security, and crime, with a monthly remuneration of Rs 2.25 lakh and additional official benefits.

Hyderabad: The State government on Thursday appointed B Shivadhar Reddy, Director General of Police, Telangana who retires on superannuation on April 30, as the State Security Advisor (SSA).
Shivadhar Reddy’s role would be to advise the Government on the issues concerning police, law and order, internal security, crime control, narcotics control, and road safety. He will be appointed to work for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge.
The orders issued by the State government further stated that he shall be paid a fixed remuneration of Rs 2.25 lakh per month and is entitled to office accommodation.
He will also be entitled to rent-free accommodation or HRA of Rs 50,000 in lieu of a rented or own house. The TA and DA will be admissible on par with those applicable prior to his retirement. The medical reimbursement is admissible on par with AIS officers. He will be provided with a government vehicle.
