Upon his arrival at the Council meeting on Monday, Borrel said that the EU countries continue training Ukrainian forces and 27 billion euros is a record-high figure in the EU’s history, TASS reported.
This figure includes arms transfers from the EU via the European Peace Facility and direct transfers from individual EU states.
Since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the EU and its member states have made available about 89 billion dollars in financial, military, humanitarian, and refugee assistance for Ukraine.
The military assistance included ammunition, air defense systems, tanks, and other weaponry and equipment.
