Eleven-year-old Sai Sathvik Jayampu won the A2H Chess Academy tournament with five points in Hyderabad, defeating Sowmith Reddy in the final round, while G Sai Namish and Sowmith Reddy finished second and third respectively

Sai Sathvik Jayampu wins A2H chess academy tournament

Hyderabad: Eleven-year-old Sai Sathvik Jayampu won the Unrated A2H Chess Academy chess tournament with five points after outwitting Sowmith Reddy in the final round here on Monday.

G Sai Namish and A Sowmith Reddy were placed second and third respectively.


The top three here will get free entry for the Chakravyuh Chess Academy prize money chess tournament to be held from May 17 at Little Flower College (Uppal).

Final placings: 1. Sai Sathvik Jayampu, 2. G Sai Namish, 3. A Sowmith Reddy, 4. Sai Siva Lokesh, 5. Azlan Khan, 6. Akhil Taneti, 7. P Sai Kiran, 8. Avyaan, 9. Sharika Tunki and 10. Mayank Kumar Mittal.
