A 45-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a speeding lorry while crossing the road near Balanagar Y Junction on Saturday night. He died on the spot due to severe injuries.

Hyderabad: A pedestrian died while crossing the road when a lorry hit him at Balanagar on Saturday night.
The man, B Kishore (45), a resident of Indiranagar in Balanagar, was crossing the road near the Balanagar Y Junction when a speeding lorry hit him. The man suffered serious injuries and died on the spot, said Balanagar Sub-Inspector, Mohammed Haji.
The police registered a case against the driver of the lorry for driving the vehicle in a negligent manner, which led to the incident. Investigation is underway.
