IPEMA–Poultry India Marks World Veterinary Day 2026 with Focus on Food Safety

Hyderabad: Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association–Poultry India participated in the celebrations of World Veterinary Day 2026, held in collaboration with the Department of Poultry Science at the College of Veterinary Science (CVSc), Rajendranagar.

The event ‘Veterinarians: Guardians of Food and Health,’ was attended by Dr M. Gnana Prakash and Dr M. Udaya Kumar. Uday Singh Bayas, President of IPEMA–Poultry India, highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between academia and industry.


Chaired by Dr R.M.V. Prasad, the programme brought together faculty, students, and industry professionals for technical sessions and discussions. As part of the event, prizes were distributed to winners of an elocution competition on “Poultry Products and Lifestyle Diseases: Myths, Facts, and Veterinary Insights,” encouraging scientific awareness among students.

During the technical session, experts including Dr Mujeeb Ather and Dr Srinivas Rama Raju spoke on career opportunities in the poultry sector, entrepreneurship, and emerging industry prospects, motivating students to explore diverse pathways in Poultry and veterinary science.
