IRIB chief underlines Iran's support for Resistance media

IRIB chief underlines Iran's support for Resistance media

Jebelli made the remarks during a visit to the headquarters of Lebanon’s Arabic-language al-Manar television network, which is owned and operated by the Lebanese Resistance movement Hezbollah, broadcasting from the capital Beirut.

In a meeting with al-Manar’s manager and employees, Jebelli praised the role of the Lebanon-based television network and other Resistance media in the faithful representation of ongoing Operation al-Aqsa Storm, the largest military operation by the Palestinian Resistance groups against the Israeli regime in decades.

Underlining the IRIB’s full support for all Resistance media, Jebelli pointed to the aspects of al-Aqsa Storm from the field, public, and media perspectives.

The IRIB chief lauded the media aspect of the large-scale Palestinian operation, saying, “After the end of the war, the responsibility of the Resistance media will be heavier than during the war, and these media should in unison announce to the world that the era of Zionism is over.”

Jebelli also highlighted the role of Resistance media after the ongoing war in portraying the oppression of the Palestinian people, as well as emphasizing the inalienable right of Resistance groups to conduct military operations similar to Operation al-Aqsa Storm.

Ibrahim Farhat, Director-General of al-Manar TV, for his part, provided a breakdown of the Lebanese television network’s performance since October 7, and expressed his appreciation of the IRIB’s full and continuous support for al-Manar and other media affiliated with the “Axis of Resistance.”

Jebelli, who was accompanied by the head of the IRIB World Service Ahmad Norouzi, arrived in the Lebanese capital of Beirut on Thursday.

Jebelli and his accompanying delegation plan to meet Lebanese officials, Resistance leaders, journalists, media organizations, and families of martyrs who were recently killed during the ongoing Israeli aggression against southern Lebanon.

During the visit, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting will sign a series of memoranda of understanding and agreements on expanding cultural and media cooperation with the Lebanese government and the Hezbollah Resistance movement.

Jebelli will also discuss the media responsibilities and duties of the “Axis of Resistance” in reflecting the heroic Palestinian resistance against Israeli atrocities and crimes during the regime’s ongoing war on Gaza.

The Israeli regime waged the war on Gaza on October 7 after Palestinian Resistance groups led by Hamas and Islamic Jihad launched an attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, into the occupied territories in response to the regime’s intensified crimes against Palestinians.

According to the Gaza-based health ministry, more than 10,800 Palestinians have been killed in the strikes, most of them women and children, while over 26,000 others have been injured.

The Tel Aviv regime has also blocked water, food, and electricity to Gaza, plunging the coastal area into a humanitarian crisis.
